Diversity Plan
Dear University Advancement Colleagues:
I am pleased to note that, thanks to the extraordinary dedication and commitment of University Advancement staff members, our unit has continually and routinely applied the principles of the University Advancement diversity plan to everyday work. Since a committee of advancement professionals developed (and the Provost approved) Advancement's strategic diversity plan, our unit has engaged in efforts to reach a variety of communities.
Most recently, we rolled out a new University Advancement grant program to fund strategic investment in innovation that furthers our diversity objectives. For more on this program, click HERE.
Our marketing and development support for PathwayOregon, as well as the creation of bilingual materials and programs at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, are just two examples of the many ways those of you in advancement have broadened our endeavors to engage diverse constituencies.
I want to thank committee members for their efforts and to emphasize the importance of our continued work to support the University of Oregon's commitment to diversity. Fostering diversity is an issue of great significance to the university and to University Advancement. Our division plays a unique and important role in interacting with the public and our various constituents. Moving forward, I expect University Advancement to continue our excellent work in this vital area.
Sincerely,
Michael Redding
Vice President for University Advancement
